7 creative ways to use it in your business

Don't let technology control you... you control your technology.

Are you in the camp of:
“AI is going to take all of our jobs” or
“AI is the best thing since sliced bread and I don’t know what I ever did without it”?
Because I know both kinds of people.
…and I am also both kinds of people 😂
As I play around more and more with the AI revolution, I come across different ways we can use it in our small businesses, and if you’re stuck only using Chat GPT to create titles for your blog posts, it’s time to start thinking outside the box.
Here are some ideas of how you can use these little internet robots to your advantage…
Automating Repetitive Tasks. Find yourself doing a lot of the same tasks? AI excels at automating mundane, repetitive tasks that consume valuable time and resources. Depending on the needs for your business, bots can be programmed to streamline routine processes, data entry, document processing, customer support, inventory management, and much more.
Enhanced Customer Interaction. I know we all secretly (not so secretly) hate chatting with bots, but they are getting better and if you have high traffic or email volume, you might want to invest in a chatbot system. Not only do they offer 24-hour customer support, AI-powered chatbots can handle basic customer inquiries, provide instant responses, and assist with tasks such as order tracking, product recommendations, troubleshooting, and frequently asked questions.
Personalized Marketing Campaigns. Ever used AI in email marketing? AI enables small businesses to create targeted and personalized marketing campaigns by analyzing customer preferences and behavior (based on their website and email actions). AI tools can recommend products, tailor advertisements, and optimize marketing strategies, ultimately driving higher conversion rates and increased productivity in the marketing department.
Data and Market Research. Rather than spending time searching the internet on your own, you can simply ask an AI tool to gather relevant data for you — think industry or competition data. Once you have that, you can use AI to analyze this data and quickly compile detailed reports. Also, don’t sleep on the ability to analyze and explore data from spreadsheets.
Create Compelling Pitch Decks. Absolutely! A survey has found that AI-generated pitch decks consistently outperformed human-created decks in impressing stakeholders. Here are a few ways AI pitch software can improve your decks: 1. Phrase your pitch deck message in a clear and concise way. This makes it easier to get your point across quickly and efficiently. 2. Hone in on the key points for your pitch deck. This lets you trim any unnecessary details. 3. Assist with pitch deck designing. AI tools can draw from visual design fundamentals of color, font, layout, etc. and make a beautiful deck in minutes rather than hours. 4. Help with audience analysis. This provides you with valuable information about your potential investors/partners, their interests, investment preferences, and more.
Logo Creation. I’m not sure if you can beat the creativity of a professional graphic designer, but if you need some inspiration or a quick logo to get you started, you can use an AI generator.
Predict Ad Performance. Now this is super interesting. AI for advertising can predict the performance of your ads—before you even run them. They learn which ads and audiences are most effective, then these tools recommend how to structure your ads for maximum results. They’ll even make suggestions on what images and words perform best across audiences.
There you have it! That’s just the tip of the iceberg. I won’t suggest specific tools — there’s no shortage out there, but you can Google AI + the task you need it to do and you’ll be sure to find something relevant. Remember to play wisely, use AI tools carefully, and make sure to check the accuracy early and occasionally.
☕️ Simmer on this tip
If I asked you what your biggest project is right now would you be able to tell me in one sentence? When defining your tasks or projects, challenge yourself to describe them in just one sentence. This forces you to clarify your goals and intentions concisely. It also makes it easier to prioritize and stay focused on what truly matters. Give it a try!
