- Choose Your Own Adventure Book, ‘Journey Under The Sea’

📖 These were my favorite books to read

I’ve been very nostalgic lately, and Instagram and its stupid algorithm definitely has not helped.

I made the mistake of liking a post from one of those 80s/90s nostalgia profiles (then proceeded down an unavoidable rabbit hole), and now they suggest that stuff to me all the time.

Who knew there were so many retro profiles that take you down memory lane?

Anyway, during my nostalgia era, I started thinking about those old Choose Your Own Adventure books. They would give you a decision at some point in the chapter:

You follow the path to the edge of the forest. If you want to chase the rabbit into the open field, turn to page 34. If you want to climb the big oak to get a better view, turn to page 41.

They really were some of the best books to read because you could read the story multiple times to experience the different outcomes (half the time you ended up dead and would have to go back anyway).

So I started thinking, I should do this with an email sequence! As a systems gal, it really frustrates me that I can’t help more people without having to meet with them. I want to give you options—but I want to give you the right options. The ones relevant to where you are now in your season of business.

So why not?

I’m currently mapping out an e-course (if you will) that will eventually serve as my onboarding sequence for those who choose to go through it. Right now… for you… I’m offering it for free. At least until I have it fleshed out, which will hopefully be fully completed over the next 2-3 weeks.

I’m impatient though and don’t want to wait 🙂

So I’m opening up the beta version—the first email will start early next week (if you join after that, it will start whenever you join), and then you’ll receive an email each day for the duration of the course.

I’m currently building out the automation that will allow you to read more than one email a day, skip weekends, pause the sequence, etc. but those aren’t ready yet… cause, tech. IYKYK.

But I’d love to go ahead and get it out there and not let the fact that it’s not functioning as I would like to stop me. And you can give me feedback along the way.

Oh, and of course, it will include questions throughout that will lead you on a path that makes sense for where you are now (hence the choose your own adventure vibe). Solopreneur? I don’t need to talk to you about managing a giant team, so you won’t get those emails yet. You get the point.

So, are you interested?

If you want to take this journey and receive the first email when it’s ready next week, choose an answer below (it doesn’t matter which one, they lead to the same place!) and I’ll see you on the other side next week:

For my Saturday morning cartoon kids, I’ll leave you with this walk down memory lane. You’re welcome.

🧃 This week I squeezed my own juices … and here’s how it went

This week I went on this kick to make my fridge look like a Pinterest or TikTok trend. You know what I’m talking about. Reduce waste and have that super organized, stocked shelves look. I started by squeezing my own orange juice, apple juice, and lemonade. Then I packed the fridge with reusable glass snack containers of fruit, veggies, eggs, etc. Maybe I’ll post a pic on Instagram. So how did it go?

I for one, really love it — the juices are delicious. My daughter was funny about it though, the fact that the apple juice was not clear and super filtered like you see with shelf-stable juices weirded her out. She also said it tasted too much like apples (mmmkay). I also bought a ton of rolled oats, so when my grocery-bought oat milk runs out, I’ll give that a go next. Will I keep it up? Maybe. But right now I’m in my homesteading era, baby!

❤️‍🔥 How about a free email marketing class?

This email is getting really long… but before I let you get back to your upcoming weekend, I have to drop at least a couple of hot finds for you.

1. Automated Emails, Authentic Connection. Free email marketing class for course creators + coaches. I’m talking a lot about emails this week — because I realize it is SO important when it comes to marketing your business. I find that email is the only thing that stays consistent without having to worry about “being seen” by your audience. My girl Cheryl Rerick is hosting this free masterclass on Tuesday, April 16, 2 pm ET where she’ll discuss why your weekly email newsletter isn’t a customer journey yet and how to automate a long-term email funnel that converts sales all year long (and more). Sign up here for free.

2. Lastly, the founder of BossMom, Dana Malstaff has just announced that she has moved the free (giant) group from Facebook to its own app (hosted on Circle). She just launched it to founding members—it’s only $67/yr—and founders’ pricing ends today, April 12th. If you are looking for a space to collaborate with other women business owners outside of Facebook/social media, hop into this community where you can network, collaborate, and learn, and they will continue to build on the opportunities within the group. I joined earlier this week, so if you are in there, find me and say hi!
